BODY TRAFFIC
ISBN 1-896300-96-0 Trade Paperback
A RCMP crime procedural novel set in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Under cover officer Stan Boyko, relocated to Winnipeg after his cover is blown in Vancouver,
thinks a new assignment in his home town will mean time to recoup. But Stan soon finds himself
working the meaner streets of the city, exposing a mess of lies and dirty dealings at a
national forensic lab.
Meanwhile, Sonja Sepsik is smuggled out of Ukraine into Hungary and discovers her brother
has plans for her other than a family reunion. Sold into a prostitution ring in Winnipeg,
Sonja must find a way out before it’s too late.
A chance meeting between Sonja and Stan gives the under cover officer a direct pipeline
into the illegal activity, and gives Sonja the hope of escaping life on the streets.
But when a brutal murder is committed, Sonja and Stan become tangled in a web of corruption
that runs deeper than either of them ever imagined.
“Body Traffic is a superbly woven tale of page-turning intrigue.” -- Rick Mofina (Blood of Others)
"Rich in character and with an honestly rendered sense of place, Body Traffic is a multilayered
mystery that travels well from the mean streets of Kiev to the equally mean streets of Winnipeg."
-- Marc Horton, The Edmonton Journal
"... The reader is in for a treat as they are taken on a wild journey ... The book is fast paced
and one that you will thoroughly enjoy. It is highly recommended." -- Nancy Eaton, Mysteries Galore
"Winnipegers are going to enjoy Body Traffic ... a compelling tale." -- Lindor Reynolds, Winnipeg Free Press

The CenturionIt is an era of corruption, intrigue and seduction. Caesar Augustus has died and Tiberius is about to become the second emperor of Rome.
Marco, former slave in the house of Claudius, is now a freedman and has become master of the grain shipments at the Claudia Procula estate in Ostia. Procula and her cousin, Claudius the Stammerer, unwittingly involve Marco in a political scheme that could threaten the throne and puts them all at risk. For everyone's safety, Marco is forced into the Roman Legion and is eventually posted in Judea.
Several years later he is reunited with his former mistress, who is now the wife of the procurator of Judea, and the old political maneuver once again threatens their safety. When Marco stands trial for aiding a new sect of fanatics who promote a false faith, he is faced with an agonizing choice--where does his allegiance lay? With Rome, or with the truth?
"If you like the Marcus Didius Falco series of Lindsay Davies, you will enjoy this book.
... Building on what we know of first century Rome and Romans, the authors have fleshed out
the characters to make them into very believable people. The handling of Pontius Pilate and
his wife are particularly good. Pilate is a man torn by conflicting motivations: expediency,
loyalty, self-preservation, and that little voice in the dark of night that makes you wonder
if you are doing the right thing. He could well have walked out of any political arena in
today's world." -- Karen Treanor, New Mystery Reader Magazine

Prometheus
available as a trade paperback or e-book
A Novel of New Beginnings
"Prometheus, you are glad that you have outwitted me and stolen fire... but I will give men as
the price for fire an evil thing in which they may all be glad of heart while they embrace
their own destruction. " So speaks Zeus, of ancient mythology, to the demi-God Prometheus.
Technology is freed from man's restraining morality and runs amok - destroying the majority of
the earth's population. Is the planet destined to revolve in space, devoid of human existence
for eternity, a sarcophagus containing the sum total of man's scientific and artistic accomplishments?
After a cataclysm of global magnitude, only some isolated parts of the world remain intact. Three bands of survivors converge in a Himalayan sanctuary, each determined to shape the new world order according to their own blueprint. Join Ludec Kabela and his companions as they race to ensure a future for earth in this thought provoking novel of the very near future.
"This book also points out what stands in the way of man working together to create a sustainable
lifestyle for all - in part it is the diverse cultures of the world and ethnic hostilities.
In the astonishing final chapter of this novel, Mr. Domokos reveals the largest obstacle to world harmony." - Dr. Bob Rich

The Price of Freedom
Freedom is seldom free. For the majority of people on this planet it comes at a great price. For me, freedom was very costly indeed. I suffered six years of slave labour, deportation and separation from those I loved.
After we escaped from Hungary in 1956, my wife and I were still not free. We were bound emotionally to our families who were still in Hungary. Tragically, we had been forced to leave our daughter behind with her grandparents. Marietta was only three years old.
Join me in my journey to freedom. I will take you to the slave labour camps of post World War II Russia; you will travel with me to my place of deportation after my release as a POW; and journey with me in a harrowing escape from Hungary and the clutches of the feared AVO.

"From personal reminiscences to science fiction and poetry, each author has brought to you their message of what it is to be Canadian. Nature and the weather, of course, take a prominent place, but the sense of place, the importance of community, friendships, beauty, and resolve also come through. Our eAuthors have demonstrated, in their own way and style, their love of Canada and its inhabitants, at the same time looking outward to the world around them."
